Royal Academy Summer Exhibition exhibitor and short-listed for Wildlife Artist of the Year, Jane Bristowe is celebrated for her bold lines, vibrant colours, and striking animal linocuts. Her inventive approach captures the character and charm of wildlife making her one of the UK’s leading animal artists. Many of her limited edition linocuts, figurative as well as wildlife, are available to buy to enhance your home, office or any space that would benefit from a cheeky splash of colour.
She is also author of 50 Nifty Limericks & Linocuts, combining playful poetry with her distinctive artwork.
Jane says about her work:
“My linocuts are an exploration of line—playful, spontaneous, and characterful. Colour comes later, adding depth and vibrancy.
I enjoy working within the square—it’s like having fun in a box. Though sometimes, it feels more like wrestling with one!
Simplicity is my goal. On good days, the image emerges fully formed, as if by magic. The best moments are when I surprise myself.
I hope my work delights the eye and sparks a smile.”
